THE PHENOMENON OF RELIGIOUS FAITH: A MEANINGFUL DIMENSION

Abstract
In the conditions of modern globalization processes, when the objective content of the human value-based world becomes more and more diverse, becomes unstable, uncoordinated, changing, when the possibility of obtaining abso-lute truths actualizes, people increasingly resort to the search for irrational systems of the worldview. In this context, a person, including religious faith, as a construct and a unique imperative of his identity, is attached to the transcend-ent realm, the opportunity to spiritually enrich himself and secure himself from a state of insecurity and depression. At the same time, often these processes contribute to the emergence of new social risks, religious conflicts. It is a question of the Other, where the religious faith assumes a radical asymmetry between the I and the Other, or the phi-losophy of dialogue and related with it questions of responsibility, trust, which in turn form the principle of tolerance as a construct of mutual understanding, respect, perception of the Other with another faith. The purpose of this article is to try to understand the potential of meaning of life of religious faith. The methodology of research of this problem is systemic, functional, tolerant approaches. Contextualization is also used to demonstrate the unity of the theoretical positions of the teachings in religious faith. With the help of these approaches, the features of religious faith, its abil-ity to construct a person’s living space, «soften» existential tension, promote emotional relaxation and calmness are revealed. In the work the opinion is held that in religious faith the immanent and transcendent relationship is ex-pressed, the individual’s desire to go beyond his own limits towards the absolute and thereby contribute to the consti-tution of his own integrity. The process of comprehending religious faith, with all its diversity, contains a powerful spiritual potential, induces a person to a relentless thirst for self-determination, to great inner concentration and spir-itual trials.
