Journal Title: Науковий вісник Південноукраїнського національного педагогічного університету імені К. Д. Ушинського - Year 2016, Vol 108, Issue 1
Abstract
In the context of further European integration, the Bologna process and the humanization of modern higher edu- cation in Ukraine in general, more emphasis is given to the personal, individual approach to vocational training of students. The priorities of higher education are not only the formation of students’ academic knowledge, skills and various professional work attainments, but also personal and professional development of the future specialist. The problem of personal and professional development of the student has especially high relevance in the conditions of future preschool teachers training, teachers of preschool educational institutions in particular, as these are the chil- dren of preschool age for whom the teacher is one of the most referent persons, an example for imitation, a standard for “copying” both as an example of behaviour and personal qualities. Therefore, an important aspect of personal and professional development of future teachers is the optimal system aimed at forming value orientations, with prevalence of human values, since these are value orientations which facilitate both formation of future teacher’s professionalism and specificity of that reference image which will be perceived by children as an example to follow. A number of publications of native researchers brightly illustrate that training of a preschool teacher, first of all, has to conform to requirements of the present; in fact, this is the first educational unit which determines the level of education and training of further generations. It has its own peculiarities; it is based on the didactic regularities of the process of vocational training in a higher educational institution. Analyzing the above thoughts, and being guided by their approval we came to a conclusion that training in a higher educational institution is one of the most important periods of life of a modern young person, his / her per- sonal growth and development as a certified specialist. Searching the ways of successful adaptation to the changed social conditions and new activity is a vital problem for everyone who has crossed a threshold of a higher education institution. Now, according to the Bologna Conven- tion, new models of learning are being implemented; curricula, forms of studies organization, criteria of knowledge assessment are being significantly changed; new pedagogical technologies and standards of education are being in- troduced. The main activity of the student, such as vocational training, is becoming more complex in its forms and contents, which increases requirements to an individual. In the context of this tendency it is psychologically important for a personality to keep to the way of adequate self-change, self-development and self-realization. The ability to adapt, overcome difficulties, find his / her place in a living space is the determinant of successful development of a young person and a certified specialist in the future.
