Abstract

The article deals with the topical problem related to the parallel formation of various types of vocal (solo and choral) intoning performed by the future Musical Art teachers. It is noted that such a situation is conditioned by the multifunctional nature of the teacher’s pedagogical activity and the corresponding tasks that are being solved in the process aimed at training future specialist of musical arts. As for singing, this diversity manifests itself in the tasks of mastering the performing skills and methods of teaching schoolchildren both individually and collectively – ensemble and choral singing forms. The aim of the article is to draw attention to the existence of the designated problem and to substantiate some principles and methods for overcoming it in the voice-training sessions. Furthermore, specific nature of requirements to students as singers-soloists and chorus participants is characterized. A comparative characteristic of the basic articulation skills used by performers in the abovementioned varieties of singing activities and peculiarities of their manifestation within different disciplines is represented. It is outlined that one of the main tasks for the leading singer is to reveal the natural timbre of the singer’s voice. As for the choral art is concerned, it is important for each member of the group to level out the individual characteristics of their voice, since it is assigned by the tasks aimed at achieving a homogeneous sound in the choral part, the choral collective. Peculiarities of the vocal breathing skills formation from the point of view of the traditional vocal technique, originating from the bell canto technique, and from the choral sounding point of view are considered. The focus is given to the idea that in choral singing the «short» breathing technique is used, which differs from the vocal arising from a smaller amount of air taken during inspiration, providing the formation of a singing skill with relatively light, clear sound, faster intonation skills being mastered in various sound dynamics. The problem of singing skills automation under conditions of their variation in different performance forms is considered, and as the solution it is proposed to pay attention to various singing and vocal exercises functions, one of which is the function of vocal apparatus preparing for the performance of new at this stage of students preparation, subjectively difficult for them intonation (pitch, articulation, rhythmic, etc.) elements. The role of thinking independence, developed auditory control, conscious and responsible attitude of students to the problem of mastering basic articulation skills as a way to gain the ability to apply them under various performing and context conditions is highlighted.
