The role of environmental management in the Algerian economic institution in supporting the requirements of achieving sustainable development: a case study of electricity and gas distribution company - Algeria

Abstract
Economic Corporation searching day after day to reach a good level of environmental performance, by controlling the impacts that may be caused environmental activities. These concerns have emerged in light of the ever-increasing pressures imposed on them by society and on the preservation of the environment and sustainable development. In this regard, many institutions have adopted a new philosophy of negotiation in which: objectives and economic policy, with those relating to the environment, and this is through the development of an environmental management system not only looking at the good level of performance, but always strive for what is known as sustainable performance.The specification for environmental management according to ISO 14000 clearly contribute to the achievement of sustainable economic development of the institution from an environmental perspective, and this of course after receiving a certificate of conformity. The aim of this research is show how to apply environmental management in the Algerian organization and constraints of the application in administration and the opportunities offered., and it has been relying on the descriptive and analytical approach to explain concepts related to the benefits of adopting environmental management in the Algerian economic companies
