The role of information and communication technologies in the knowledge economy

Abstract
The purpose of the article is to separate the lines and describe the features of using information and communication technology in the knowledge economy. Methodology of research. The objectives of the article implemented by using the following methods: analysis and synthesis, generalization and systematization, the dialectical approach. Findings. Special emphasis is laid on expanding the role of information and communication technology in the knowledge economy. The article identifies the key areas and characterizes the distinctive features of these technologies application, particularly for gaining knowledge. Practical value. The paper also provides recommendations for improving the efficiency of handling the data in economy.
