THE ROLE OF THE PEDAGOGICAL ART CRITICISM IN ACHIEVING THE OBJECTIVES OF SUPPORT EDUCATION STAGE IN THE EDUCATION PROCESS OF GIFTED CHILDREN

Abstract
Education which is one of the most important means to keep up with the innovations and with progress for a society has an indisputable role in increasing creativity and skills for an individual. And art education aims to contribute to the development of participatory, responsible and productive personalities in researching, studying, inquiring, having a tolerant, broad and free thoughts and having a self-sufficient in social and cultural life. Thus, art education has started to take an important place in education concept and practices. The necessity for understanding, thinking over and interpreting them has arisen as long as having the art, new understanding and values with its changing and developing structure. Accordingly, pedagogical art criticism, one of the most important elements of art education, became crucial and played an important role in student education. In the present study, it is aimed to reveal the role of pedagogical art criticism which is one of the important elements of art education in achieving the objectives of the support education stage in the education process of the institutions called as the Science and Art Center giving education for students considered to be gifted. According to the results of present study performed in the form of literature review: art education, which is an integral part of general education integrity, significantly contributes to achieve the objectives of support education for highly gifted students. It is concluded that pedagogical art criticism, one of the important elements of art education, contributed students to judging themselves, creating their own expression language and acquiring creative and critical thinking skills and communication skills, as well as having self-confidence and indulgence
