The theoretical assessment of state and non–state regulation of market economy

Abstract
Today the majority of scholars in the Ukrainian economic science share the idea that the market mechanism does not allow the solution of a number of important nation–wide social problems, such as public health services, education, cultural development, issues of national defenseand preservation of the environment. It is widely believed that the state should be a guarantor of permanent increase of standard of life in the country, that large corporations should increase their regulatory influence upon market processes, that the role of self–organization of manufacturers and consumers, the same way as their unions as independent subjects of market regulation, grows in present–day conditions of activization of economic activities.
