THE TOURISM SECTOR: CHARACTERISTICS OF STATE REGULATION AND POSSIBILITIES OF DEVELOPMENT IN UKRAINE

Abstract
The article highlights the peculiarities of the current level of development of tourism as a segment of the econo-my in Ukraine. Also was given the definition of such concepts and categories as tourism, object and subject of tour-ism, the state management of the tourism business, which give a general idea of the objectives and expected results from the tourism. In addition, was characterized the organizational forms and the main types of tourism depending on the purpose of travel. In article was determined the dynamics of tourist flows in the years 2014–2016 and the main di-rections of international tourism in 2016. It was proposed some of the measures for development of state management of tourism sector in Ukraine.
