Journal Title: Науковий вісник Міжнародного гуманітарного університету. Серія «Філологія» - Year 2017, Vol 30, Issue 2
Abstract
The article is devoted to the complex study of innovative units (neologisms) that entered into the system of English at the beginning of the XXI century. At present these innovative units are actively used by authors in the titles of English newspapers. The analysis of the empiric material made it possible to develop the thematic classification of the studied units, distinguishing ten main groups: world, society, opinion, culture, business, technology, science, education, money, television. The results showed that the main ways of formation of new innovative units are affixation, compounding and abbreviation.
