The value orientations of the higher pedagogical education in Poland in the period of transformation

Abstract
The article focuses on the axiological orientations of teachers’ training in Poland;it is confirmed that the improvement of the content of pedagogical education should be based on the anthropocentrism, professionalism, and on the combination of the universal values such as tolerance, justice, democracy, freedom,dignity,equality,honour with the professional values of the future specialist;it is proved that in the formation of the teacher’s personality it is important to provide a system of orientation that reflects its attitude to the student, to the profession, and to himself.
