Abstract
In the article, the life path, professional and public activity of Nadiia Potapivna Kyrpotenko — one of the first female doctors in the Katerynoslav area (nowadays the Dnipro area) are presented for the first time. A lot of attention has been paid to studying the development of the nursing service in the late 19th — early 20th centuries.
