Tools of proinnovation management of the human capital in the Świętokrzyskie Province Enterprises in the Years 2005-2010

Abstract

 The investigations analysed the extent to which enterprises in the Świętokrzyskie Province employed pro-innovation tools in the management of the human capital. The businesses included in the survey declared they primarily relied on period reviews (80% of the companies) and career paths (80%). As regards the former, 55% of the companies claimed those tools are broadly and very broadly used. Less frequently companies introduced regulations and instructions which made it possible for employees to participate in the decision making process with respect to the issues of key importance for a company (in 70 % of enterprises such a possibility either did not open up or was restricted to a very narrow context). Additionally, companies relatively infrequently employed instructions intended to stimulate the creativity of their staff. The results of investigations indicate that the enterprises of the Świętokrzyskie Province still insufficiently encourage employee involvement through innovation and participation in the workplace. That can acts as a substantial barrier to the stimulation of innovation activities through endogenous factors that affect innovation processes. Among numerous management tools provided by tele-information systems, enterprises most frequently used internal (Intranet) and external (Internet) net-works.
