Urethane Reaction Kinetics of H12MDI

Abstract

On the basis of the two order reaction characteristics of NCO and OH,the dynamic equation was established. Using di-n-butylamine titration method,the response characteristics of 4,4'-dicyclohexyl methane diisocyanate( H12MDI) with polytetrahydrofuran ether glycol( PTMG),poly-1,4-butylene adipate glycol( PBA),1,4-butanediol( BDO) were studied respectively under different temperature. The results show that the reaction activation energy E a of H12 MDI and PTMG,PBA,BDO was 60. 9 k J / mol,113. 0 k J / mol,42. 2 k J /mol,respectively. The activity of H12 MDI is low when H12 MDI reacts with alcohols.
