USING OF THE E-LEARNING SYSTEM «LINGUA.SKILLS» IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING ON THE BASIS OF THE BLENDED LEARNING AT PEDAGOGICAL HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION

Abstract
The article deals with the problem of using e-learning platform LingvaSkills while teaching English language on the basis of the blended learning approach in Pedagogical Higher Educational Institution. Different definitions of the notion «blended learning» have been analyzed. The advantages and disadvantages of teaching English under the conditions of blended learning have been determined. The author considers blended learning as a combination of traditional and innovative technologies of electronic, distance and mobile learning, combining advantages of each one. There are such components of blended learning model while teaching foreign language: face to face classrooms, self-study learning, and online collaborative learning. The article also deals with the analyses of the experience of e-learning platform LingvaSkills using. The author states that the full use of LingvaSkills allows diversifying forms of training, as well as multivariate representation of information, individualizing instruction, and intensifying the activities of students during the training. It provides interactive learning, revision of material and effective independent work of students. LingvaSkills is a free and open-source software learning system. It is based on pedagogical principles, and used for blended learning, distance education, flipped classroom and other e-learning projects at universities. So the article is really topical because of the lack of researches and special scientific works in the field of information and communication technology in education.
