Journal Title: Medicine and Philosophy - Year 2024, Vol 45, Issue 22
Abstract
Literatures related to "reminiscence therapy" were retrieved in the Web of Science Core Collection and China National Knowledge Infrastructure databases from inception up to June 30, 2024, and visual analysis of literatures was conducted using the bibliometric software CiteSpace in terms of annual publication volume, institutions, and keywords. Results indicated a general upward trend in publication volume both domestically and internationally, with notable similarities and differences in research approaches. International research on this topic began more than 30 years prior to that in China, with recent hotspots and trends emphasizing virtual reality technology, family and social support, and diverse research populations. China can benefit from integrating international research trends and advanced practices to promote comprehensive advancements in the theory, technology, and practice of reminiscence therapy.
