World development trends of seaports

Abstract
Analysis of the basic world seaports development trends was carried out. The main from them are growth of the container transportations market, increasing of the container port capacities, development in automatic identification system based vessel-tracking tools, simplification of the intermodal transport processes for each participant in the chain, using of the ecological technologies and transformation of seaports to the logistic centres.
