Analysis of the Sound Field in Enclosures
Journal Title: Romanian Journal of Acoustics and Vibration - Year 2009, Vol 6, Issue 1
Abstract
Steady-state sound field in closed spaces may be calculated as a series of normal modes of oscilatings. Experimental results are not explained completely by this theory and for these differences should be an additional term representing the direct spherical radiation at the reverberant field. In the paper it is shown that the sound field contains the direct wave as well as the standing waves. In addition the paper shows the calculation particularity of the acoustic field in low frequencies.

Dependence of the Concrete Strength on the Duration of the Compaction by Vibration Process
The aim of the paper is to present the experimental results performed on two categories of concrete, C35/40 and C40/50, in order to highlight the evolution of their compressive strength with respect to the duration of vi...
Improvement of Acoustic and Thermal Comfort by Turning Waste into Composite Materials
This paper presents research on developing new types of composite materials with sound absorbing and thermal insulating properties, in order to improve the acoustic and thermal comfort of an enclosure. Thus, in order to...
On the Stability of a Class of Non-Ideal Systems
A vibrating system is said ideal when its excitation is not influenced by the response of the system. When the excitation is influenced by the response of the system, the system is said non-ideal. A new degree of freedom...
Experimental Analysis of the Vibration Generated by an Elastic Kinematic Element with Lubricated Mobil Rectilinear Pair Based on the Influence of the Lubricant Pressures Range
The paper presents the experimental analysis of the vibration generated by an elastic kinematic element with a mobile rectilinear pair, lubricated by oil with average values for lubrication properties and kinematic visco...
About the Influence of Temperature Changes on the Natural Frequencies of Clamped-Clamped Euler-Bernoulli Beams
In this paper a beam subjected to axial forces induced by temperature changes has been analyzed, in order to highlight the effect of this parameter on the structures natural frequencies. The modal analysis, performed by...
