DESIGN AND ANALYSIS OF AN AUTOMOTIVE SINGLE PLATE CLUTCH
Journal Title: Mobility and Vehicle Mechanics - Year 2018, Vol 44, Issue 1
Abstract
This paper presents the stresses and deformations of the assembly of the automotive single plate clutch depending on the applied materials. Structural analysis of the clutch was performed by using the finite element method for a repressive vehicle example - Toyota KUN 25. First, the input data for the numerical analysis was calculated. Numerical analysis was performed in the ANSYS software package. As a result, the values of stresses and deformations that occur on the clutch during the vehicle exploitation are obtained.

DESIGN FOR RECYCLING – THINKING OF THE END AT THE BEGINNING
Regulations of the European Union are demanding that re-use of materials should be taken into account already in the design phase of new vehicles and to provide instructions about exploitation of the old cars. When engin...
A COMPUTATIONAL MODEL FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF VEHICLE COLLISIONS
The reconstruction of a vehicle collision consists of the processes of investigation, analysis and conclusions about the causes and the events during the traffic accident. In this perspective, a vehicle collision is cons...
ALTERNATIVE DESIGN FOR A SEMI – TRAILER TANK VEHICLE
The assessment of the design parameters of a semi-trailer tank vehicle is crucial and it is related to the three motions, namely longitudinal (driving and braking), lateral (guidance and steering), and vertical (suspensi...
HYDROGEN AS A VEHICLE FUEL
Limited oil reserves and the ecological consequences of its use in motor vehicles impose an increasing need for alternative energy and drives. The use of hydrogen as the fuel of the future is one of the solutions whose c...
OPTIMIZATION-BASED CONTROLLERS FOR HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLES
Hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) are more and more of interest in the present vehicle market, because of the relevant reduction both in the fuel consumption and in the CO2 emission, in particular for the urban utilization...
