ДО ПИТАННЯ ПЕРЕКЛАДУ АНГЛОМОВНИХ ТЕРМІНІВ-НЕОЛОГІЗМІВ УКРАЇНСЬКОЮ МОВОЮ

Abstract
У статті з’ясовано, що особливості перекладу термінів-неологізмів обумовлені широким використанням абревіатур та скорочень, омонімічністю термінів, їхньою залежністю від контексту тощо. У процесі роботи з неологізмами сфери інформаційних технологій та інтернет-комунікацій їхній переклад з англійської українською мовою відбувається шляхом з`ясування значення неологізму, беручи до уваги його структуру й контекст, та через власне переклад (відтворення) засобами української мови. Серед типових стратегій передачі новоствореного англомовного терміна українською мовою є транскрипція, транслітерація, калькування, описовий переклад, абревіація, комбінований спосіб. Abstract. Due to the development of the international relations, the strengthening of economic and political ties, the strengthening of European integration processes, the development of science and technology, the importance of the translation as an unconditional factor in socio-economic, scientific and technological and general cultural progress is gaining greater significance. Scientific and technical terms as linguistic signs representing the concept of a special, professional branch of science or technology, are a component of scientific and technical texts and one of the main difficulties of their translation. Many terms are new words, word-combinations or fixed phrases called neologisms that appear in the language due to the development of social life, culture, science and engineering. New meanings of existing words are also accepted as neologisms. The problem of translation of new words ranks high on the list of challenges facing translators because such words are not readily found in ordinary dictionaries and even in the newest specialized dictionaries. The present article clarifies that the peculiarities of the translation of terms-neologisms appear because of the wide use of abbreviations and acronyms, the homonymity of terms, their dependence on the context, etc. As to neologisms in the field of information technologies and the Internet communications, their translation from English into Ukrainian is carried out by clarifying the significance of neologism, taking into account its structure and context, and its own translation (rendering) by means of the Ukrainian language. Among the typical translation strategies for the newly-coined English terminology, we distinguish the following methods: transcription, transliteration, loan translation, descriptive translation, abbreviation and a combination of methods. Also, the direct inclusion is used when, due to the specificity of the sound form of the word or its spelling, the translationof this word is not possible. Consequently, neologism must be perceived as a normal language phenomenon, and the absence of a word in the dictionary can not be an obstacle to its translation. When reproducing such words, one must rely on micro- and macrocontext, try to find out the etymology of neologism, find the most suitable match.
