Effect of Augmented Feedback on Overhead Throw Performance in Netball among Primary Students

Abstract
The overhead throw is crucial in netball which required qualities in the action to produce a fast and accurate throw. The main purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of augmented feedback in netball overhead throw among primary students. Ten participants were female students from SJK (T) Barathi, Malaysia who never done overhead training during Physical Education lesson. The training started with 12 repetitions and was raised to 20 repetitions 4 weeks later. The results showed that the percentage increased from 60% during the preparatory phase to 100% after augmented feedback. This pattern also similar during execution and follow through a phase which demonstrated an improvement of 50% compared to previous. In conclusion, the results demonstrated that augmentative feedback improved the performance of overhead throwing in netball.
