FIGURATIVE AND EXPRESSIVE ASPECTS OF ARTISTRY

Abstract
Representation and expression are two basic principles of creative project realization by a writer, both are predefined by genre and style features of the artistic phenomenon and corresponding form-building system. The purpose of the given article is to trace the features of scientific functioning for concepts of «image» and «expression», and to prove linguistic and symbolic inexhaustibility of the artistic world expression in literary works. As literature is a significant creation not only at linguistic level, the artistic world is a separate semiotic level, the level of presentation characters. Thus, artistry is the combination of both expressive and graphic aspects. Expression in its variety of objective and subjective plans expresses an idea, creates «new little space» (determination by G.G. Gadamer). The limits of expression are endless, as they do not give final information and always leave a reader some place for multiplicity of interpretations.
