Hierarchical models of structural formation in high-filled construction composites

Abstract

The phenomenological theory of structural formation of building composite materials is considered in the paper. It is assumed that the structure of the material is formed under the influence of two processes ‒ the hydration of the binder, which is accompanied by a change in its grains shape and volume due to the growth of new mineral formation, and the dynamic response of the composite particles structure. On this basis, physicochemical and structural variables are distinguished, the first ones play the role of control parameters. The dynamics of structure formation is considered on the basis of the theory of Uedington's epigenetic landscapes. The physical and chemical processes associated with hydration, lead to the possibility of forming structures of several types, which corresponds to stable branches of bifurcation and minimums of structural free energy. The microscopic realizations of the considered structure mechanism formation, associated with the displacement and compaction of the composite particles, are described. For the considered processes, we propose a mathematical model of the information system with state selection. The role in structure formation and destruction of composite materials parts of transition between structures of different types as «hidden» boundaries of a section is discussed.
