Abstract
Determination and hard work have been considered as cornerstones of achieving desirable success and recognition. But in today's world of seemingly increasing pressure of performance and visibility, it might not be solely sufficient. As a clinician and academician one of our main pursuits is to conduct genuine, transparent and ethical research. This demands not only utmost sincerity and perseverance but also requires skills of a good author for presenting ones work. However the story does not end at getting your work published. Making it well-recognized in your niche and beyond is highly desirable in order to make yourself truly visible and relevant. With the advent of open access journals, accessibility to research work has increased tremendously for masses on one hand, but has led to enormous increase in the number of available articles that can make ones hard earned publication a miniscule and chances of it getting lost in the sea of articles.
