Implementation Students’ Day in Developing Self Potential Students of Tarbiyah And Education Faculty (Ftik) in The State Islamic Institute Padangsidimpuan

Abstract

Students should be prepared themselves in every activity. The College as a culmination of every level of education is expected to produce qualified human resources professionally. In this case, the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Faculty (FTIK) of the State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Padangsidimpuan tried to explore the potential of self through the activities of Student’S DAY. This research has aims to: 1. To find out the Students' Day implementation that able to explore the potential of students of Tarbiyah Faculty and Teacher Training (FTIK) at Padangsidimpuan State Islamic Institute (IAIN). 2. To find out the factors that play a role in exploring the potential of students of Tarbiyah Faculty and Teacher Training (FTIK) through the implementation of Students' Day (Student Day) at the State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Padangsidimpuan. This type of research is qualitative research. Primary data sources are taken from lecturers who participate in carrying out student day in Tarbiyah Faculty and Teacher Training (FTIK) State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Padangsidimpuan. Secondary data sources are complementary sources of data obtained from various sources from: dean of Faculty of Tarbiyah and Science Teacher (FTIK) State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Padangsidimpuan, head of administrative division of Faculty of Tarbiyah and Science of Teaching (FTIK) Institute (IAIN) Padangsidimpuan, head of academic and student affairs division of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Faculty (FTIK) State Islamic Institute of Padangsidimpuan, and students of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Faculty (FTIK) State Islamic Institute (IAIN) ) Padangsidimpuan Academic Year 2015-2016. Instrument of this research are data collection, observation and interview. The results of this research indicate that Students' Day Implementation is able to increase students ability in Arabic and English, and an accomplished Nasyid group. Student Day also can create Energetic students in the field of entrepreneurship, experts in the field of local art and master the religious studies.
