Influence Analysis of Super-large Diameter Steel Pipe Pile Resonance-free Method Construction on Surrounding Soil Deformation

Journal Title: Urban Mass Transit - Year 2024, Vol 27, Issue 10

Abstract

Objective The high-frequency resonance-free method is renowned for its high efficiency and low environmental impact. To further investigate the influence of constructing super-large diameter steel pipe pile with this method on the deformation and vibration of surrounding soil, a non-in-situ test pile experiment is conducted near the construction site. Method A detailed numerical model is established to calculate and analyze the effects of steel pipe pile construction on surrounding soil, with the calculated results validated against measured data. Key parameters such as vertical ground displacement, horizontal soil displacement, and soil vibration velocity are measured during the pile driving process. Result & Conclusion The experimental results indicate that the maximum land subsidence value is 2.5 mm. The ground soil near the steel pipe pile exhibits subsidence, while areas at a certain distance shows an upheaval, particularly in regions beyond three times the steel pipe pile diameter, where vertical ground displacement is minimal. Horizontal soil displacement is generally small, with a maximum displacement of -1.58 mm, indicating that the soil horizontal deformation includes both compression and contraction, with the soil deformation induced by the lower pile segment construction significantly greater than that by the upper segment construction. The comparison between numerical simulation and measured data shows a general consistency in deformation laws.
