INTEGRAÇÃO E DESENVOLVIMENTO REGIONAL: ELEMENTOS TEÓRICOS

Abstract
This paper examines the regional integration and development as complementary elements that require the articulation of regions and strengthening of human and social indicators. In the economic integration requires the strengthening and improvement of the connection through the development of regional economies. In the social integration implies the strengthening of the human being, improving social indicators and the creation of a collective identity in all the spaces that will integrate. Thus, the regional development programs require the integration of intra and inter-regional space and creating a collective identity in the regions.
