This article is dedicated to the categories of the mysterious in the works by V. F. Odoevsky. Contemplating them the author draws a conclusion that the idea of the two parallel worlds finds its artistic embodiment in «The Sylph», «The Salamander», and «The Cosmorama». In the romantic stories by V. F. Odoevsky the supernatural is always represented by two sides: one is merely fantastic and the other is real.
