Концептуальні засади глобальних міст: наукові підходи до визначення сутності

Abstract
The article is presented the conceptual approaches to defining the essence of global cities based on economic, political, ideological, procession and logistic views. The global city consider the nature of the position of system approach that allows, on the one hand, to define its role in global system, on the other - to provide the elements that contribute to the effective functioning of global cities in the modern global economy. The purpose of the article is to research the contemporary conceptual approaches, to defining the essence of the global city and the rationale for a systematic approach. During the research was used such methods as scientific abstraction and axonometry. Systematization of conceptual approaches to the definition of “global city” allowed to determine their totality. Economic approach considers global city as such where the focus is economic processes and management. Within the policy approach the global city consideres as national center that guides international forces and influence towards national interests. The ideological approach provides the idea to describe the city as a global “center of power” and “decision making, which does not necessarily reflect to the capital”. Another approach defined as process, within which a basis the impact of the current global actions and movements. The next approach should be defined as logistics, which laid the basis for the concept of forming various global flows. The article proposed to apply a systematic approach to the definition of “global city” as a set of related elements that interact with each other on the principles of holism, emerdzhentnosti and dialectical development.
