Methodology of determination of climatic loads in the given geographical point
Journal Title: Вісник Одеської державної академії будівництва та архітектури - Year 2018, Vol 1, Issue 71
Abstract
During designing buildings, structures and urban development a number of climatic factors are taken into account. The calculated values of these factors are established based on meteorological observations and are listed in the standards for only a dozen settlements. For other areas, data from the nearest observation points is used, which does not guarantee accurate determination of the required climatic parameters. In order to determine the climatic parameters for a given geographic point, a methodology is developed that provides simultaneous consideration of data of the local network of weather stations of the region. Using the data of meteorological stations of the region by the method of the least squares a plane equation is established, which reflects the general trend of climatic parameter changing across the territory. According to the obtained equation the required value of the climatic parameter is calculated for a point or several points with known coordinates. Examples of forecasting of the values of five climatic parameters (average annual temperature and relative humidity, duration of the heating period, characteristic values of snow and wind loads) for three settlements in the Kirovograd region have confirmed the simplicity and sufficient precision of the developed methodology.
