MOTION CORRECTION FEATURES OF GENEVA MECHANISM LEADING LINK IN TECHNOLOGICAL EQUIPMENT DRIVES

Abstract

Applying of Geneva mechanisms in drives of technological equipment allows to carry out the periodic turning of table or faceplate with tools. There were considered Geneva mechanisms improvement reserves by choising the rational law of motion thus avoiding the phenomenon of "soft impact". The realization of such technical condition is made possible through using programmable links’ motion correction by combined cam-lever mechanism or servo drive. It was comprised the kinematic parameters of Maltese cross movement correction during the establishing the necessary motion law to the slave carrier or directly to cross. For the last case was studied the transformation of cross motion law into the slave carrier motion law using the inverse round method. The calculations made for the typical periodic motion laws of cycloid and harmonious types with identification of the features of their changes on the slave carrier. The developed methodology allows to determine the necessary motion law of slave carrier in cam-lever contour or program of the servo drive output shaft motion
