Public and private funding for mega sporting events: the case of the UEFA European Football Championship

Abstract
The paper consists of three main parts. In the first there was made a literature survey of mega sporting events financing structure and its possible consequences for hosts. In the second part the possible financing models of mega sporting events were described on the example of Football European Championships to have been staged in XXI century. In the third part the studies have been limited to sport’s infrastructure and its sources of financing.
