On the standards for the selection of candidates for the position of judge in major international and European documents

Abstract
The author analyzes the provisions of international and European documents concerning the importance of introducing standards for the selection of judges, its depoliticization, adherence to the rule of law, the approval of the basic principles of judicial conduct for the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms.
