PEDAGOGICAL ACTIVITIES OF PROFESSOR V.F. NIKOLAEV (1889–1974)

Abstract
Using the method of historical and scientific analysis it was made an attempt to rehearse the main directions of the educational activities of the Professor V.F. Nikolaev (1889–1974) and his development as a teacher. Characterized the main directions of V.F. Nikolaev in Poltava school of gardening, Poltava Medical Institute, Poltava state pedagogical Institute, of Kharkiv agricultural Institute, Tiflis Agricultural Institute, Sukhumi Institute of Subtropical Crops, Poltava Agricultural Institute, Kurgan Agricultural Institute, Tajik state University and Uman Agricultural Institute named after O.M. Gorky. The results of the study indicate that V.F. Nikolaev, being directly engaged in teaching and administrative work, showed himself as the organizer of new higher educational establishments and new scientific researches, the developer of new courses, talented electioneer, promoter of botanical knowledge etc.
