Pilot study of socio-cultural factors and their influence on the emotional state of people with VIH. instrument validation

Abstract

Introduction:During the research processes, after establishing the situational diagnosis, it is important to focus on bibliometric studies in order to confirm the hypotheses that are raised during an investigative study, in many cases it is complicated because there is not a sufficient number of instruments to carry out the investigation. Objectives:to evaluate the validity, pertinence and reliability of the instrument that will allow to determine if the psychosocial factors influence the emotional state of the patient with HIV. Materials and methods:An investigation of the type was used: quantitative, prospective, field, cross-sectional, descriptive analytical type, a population of medium socioeconomic status is used, men and women residing in the Milagro Canton diagnosed with HIV, ages ranging from from 18 years to 65 years of age. Results:The validation for the proposed instrument, obtains a total rating of 87.92, which is considered that the questionnaire according to the experts is: Very reliable. The following validation is carried out through the statistical analysis by Cronbach's Alpha, and ascore of 0.91 is obtained, which denotes that the instrument is within the scale of Good -High, in reliability. Conclusions: It is concluded that the instrument is of good reliability, it is useful and pertinent for the established purposes, which responds to the stated objective, to determine if the psychosocial factors influence the emotional state of the patient with HIV, which determined that the factors found They are: labor, economic, personal and cultural
