POLITICAL CONDITIONS OF MANAGING POLAND’S INTERNAL SECURITY

Abstract
In the scientific literature the matters related to Poland’s internal security are seldom presented with a political point of view. However, there are at least two important reasons to raise the issue. Firstly, the functioning of the internal security system of the country is largely the responsibility of authorities and public administration (including parliament, local government). Secondly, more and more often we meet with state threats, which are rooted in the factors of internal policy.The purpose of this article is to show how political parties, which often designate people (politicians) responsible for the internal security of the country, approach the execution of tasks in this field, how they perceive the further development of the system of internal security and how they see the need to introduce modifications. The actions that violate or threaten the internal security are met every day. Despite the fact that a number of tasks aimed at their elimination is carried out properly and in accordance with the procedures, there are situations in which there are certain shortcomings and irregularities. To the vast extent they result from lack of proper management.
