Possible method for evaluation of virus, bacteria and yeasts infectivity by optical measurements
Journal Title: Semiconductor Physics, Quantum Electronics and Optoelectronics - Year 2016, Vol 19, Issue 3
Abstract
The possible method for evaluation of virus, bacteria and yeasts infectivity based on study of their absorption spectra has been proposed. The decrease in the samples infectivity was caused by adding the CeO2 nanoparticles. Optical absorption of the samples was measured for the wavelength range from 400 to 750 nm. The obtained data detect the specific changes in absorption of the samples, which can be used for development of the new technique of evaluation of virus, bacteria and yeasts infectivity.

Metallic nanoparticles (Cu, Ag, Au) in chalcogenide and oxide glassy matrices: comparative assessment in terms of chemical bonding
Principal difference in origin of high-order optical non-linearities caused by metallic nanoparticles such as Cu, Ag and Au embedded destructively in oxide- and chalcogenide-type glassy matrices has been analyzed from th...
Integration of LED/SC chips (matrix) in reverse mode with solar energy storage
In this work, for the first time we investigated controlling the quantum efficiencies of III-nitride LED/SC (solar cells) new energy accumulating elements and supercapacitors as energy storage devices (Enestors). It has...
Transducer based on surface plasmon resonance with thermal modification of metal layer properties
With the purpose to improve such service characteristics of transducers on the basis of the surface plasmon resonance (SPR) as the sensitivity and stability, we have analyzed the influences of a structure and a relief of...
Condensons and bicondensons in one-dimensional systems
The paper is devoted to simulation of continual strong coupling condensons and bicondensons states in one-dimensional systems by using the Gaussian basis with exponentially correlated multipliers. To determine the accura...
Studying the mechanical properties of (Cu1–xAgx)7GeS5I mixed crystals by using the micro-indentation method
(Cu1–xAgx)7GeS5I mixed crystals were grown using the Bridgman–Stockbarger method. The hardness dependences on the indentation depth profiles in (Cu 1–x Ag x ) 7 GeS 5 I mixed crystals were investigated. The measurements...
