PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF FUTURE PSYCHOLOGISTS CONSIDERING CLASSIFICATION OF FIELDS OF THEIR PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY

Abstract

Purpose. To study professional training of future psychologists based on the classification of the fields of professional activity. Methodology. The main research methods used are as follows: theoretical-system analysis of pedagogic, psychological, philosophic scientific literature aimed at theoretical study of the problems of professional training of future psychologists; abstracting and specification for determining elements of the fields of professional activity of psychologist; projecting for determining the logic structure of the research. Results. The article determines the levels of pragmatic and humanistic directions of the professional training. The research distinguishes the fields of professional activity of psychologists on the types of activity: educational processes, recreational processes, law processes, art, professional, team activity, IT engineering processes, political processes, and economic-manufacturing processes. Originality. The article presents the analysis of the fields of the professional activity of psychologists on the types of activity, determines the levels of humanistic and pragmatic direction of the psychologist's professional activity, their dependence on the client’s need. Practical meaning. The direction of the psychologist’s activity changes depending on the field of his/her activity. The author suggests paying more attention to training psychologists for working on the borders of fields and in the new fields for psychology, determining a new concept of the ethical behaviour in the fields of pragmatic direction.Conclusions. The professional training of future psychologists should meet the demands on the labour market. The assessment of the fields of the psychologist's professional activity and from the point of view of humanistic and pragmatic directions allow developing the structure of the professional training that can meet the labour market demands.
