System wizyjny do wspomagania operatora w procesie zmieniania orientacji nadwozia koparki względem podłoża

Abstract

Disadvantages of modern systems for estimation of excavator body orientation with respect to the ground have been pointed out in the article. The authors claim that in the future systems of this type will be replaced with far cheaper ones based on the machine vision technology. Such thesis might be stated, since numerous vision systems have already been successfully implemented in work machines’ and industrial vehicles’ control systems. Examples of such systems have been presented. A prototype operator assistance vision system for adjustment of excavator body orientation with respect to the ground has been developed by the authors as well. The system was built and verification tests were carried out using adequate test stand. The obtained test results have been discussed in the following paper.
