The importance of logistics for the operation and development of agribusiness enterprises

Abstract
The paper shows the importance of logistics in the enterprises of the agribusiness sector. The research was conducted with using self-completion questionnaire between December 2009 to March 2010. This analysis is on 428 answers received. Logistics had a little importance in most of the entities. Most companies did not had a separate department of logistics. Share of logistics costs in the total expenditures was low. Research confirms the great influence of scale on the organization of logistics, stocks management methods and methods of information flow in the agribusiness companies.
