THE INFLUENCE OF MUSICAL ELEMENTS ON NARRATIVE IN THE NOVEL “BROTHER OF SLEEP” BY ROBERT SCHNEIDER

Abstract
The article deals with the interaction of literature and music in the novel “Brother of sleep” by modern Austrian writer Robert Schneider. The role of verbal music in the narration and in the description of emotional and psychological state of the characters has been analyzed. The correlation between music and nature and the role of music in the life of the main character of the novel has been researched. Much attention has been paid to the symbolical sense of music, audition and voice.
