THE REDUCTION OF NOISE AND VIBRATION CAUSED BY EQUIPMENT FROM BUILDINGS
Journal Title: Romanian Journal of Acoustics and Vibration - Year 2014, Vol 11, Issue 2
Abstract
Many times, in everyday life, we encounter a variety of problems arising from the inadequate functioning of equipment from civil and industrial constructions. Among the existing equipment in the construction of the building, structural parameters influencing the high level of noise and vibration transmitted to the structure are: refrigeration, air conditioner / ventilation, electrical equipment, heating equipment (boilers), electrical transformers, equipment drives / machining, technical building installations, etc.

About the Influence of Temperature Changes on the Natural Frequencies of Clamped-Clamped Euler-Bernoulli Beams
In this paper a beam subjected to axial forces induced by temperature changes has been analyzed, in order to highlight the effect of this parameter on the structures natural frequencies. The modal analysis, performed by...
The Concentrated Mass Influence on the Transversal Vibrations of a Bar
In this paper one analyses the concentrated mass influence on the natural frequencies of a bar. The exact solution is presented, utilizing transfer matrix method, Rayleigh method and the approximate method which neglects...
The Schroeder Frequency of Furnished and Unfurnished Spaces
This paper considers the situation in which an empty room is furnished. Hence, the Schroeder frequency of an empty room is compared with the Schroeder frequency of the same room when it is furnished. It is concluded that...
THE SOMMERFELD EFFECT
The Sommerfeld effect is a universal phenomenon which appears as a result of the law of energy conservation. Arnold Sommerfeld discovered this phenomenon in 1902, while making an experiment with a cantilever beam connect...
Acoustical investigation of aquatic fittings
Water is an indispensable element for the life. This contributes to the appearance and development of many phenomena, some of them accompanied by acoustical exhibitions. These ones are received by the human being through...
