The use of pressure flotation in the water treatment stations

Abstract

Classical technological schemes for the purification of natural waters become ineffective against pollutants, whose presence in water or increase in their concentration has not been taken into account in the design. The efficiency of traditional water treatment facilities is sharply reduced, even with a slight deviation from the design parameters. This article proposes innovative technologies in the construction of new and reconstruction of active water treatment plants. As an effective method for the removal of colloidal and suspended substances, petroleum products and fats, as well as phytoplankton, the pressure flotation is offered. Options for the reconstruction of existing water treatment facilities by replacing the process of sedimentation with pressure flotation are considered Flotofilter Klaricell RJ (Austria) is offered for the construction of new water treatment plants. The description, operating principle and results of the work of flotofilter Klaricell RJ (Austria) are given. This installation is combined one and allows combining such processes as: coagulation, flocculation, flotation, filtration and washing. At the same time there is no washing water. The cleaning efficiency is high, at any quality of the initial water; the quality at the outlet is always stable. The use of flotofilters allows building water treatment stations of small sizes and in the shortest possible time for any objects of drinking water supply and for technical water.
