TYPOLOGY OF SCHOOLS OF ANCIENT ROME DURING V-I CENTURIES BEFORE CHRIST

Abstract
The article deals with the three main types of schools existing in ancient Rome in V-I centuries BC: ludus, grammar school and rhetorical school. It provides a detailed description of those types, emphasizing their peculiarities, advantages and disadvantages. This work comprises quotations from original ancient sources.
