Analysis of the content component of Health Basis subject in the context of development of health protecting competence of the basic secondary schoolteachers

Abstract
The article analyzes the educational branch «Health and physical culture» of the State standard of basic and complete general secondary education. The curriculum of Health Basis subject for 5–9 classes of general educational establishments and textbooks of Health Basis subject for the basic secondary school are analyzed in the article. It has been found that the textbooks contain positive information on the formation of the health-preserving competence of secondary school pupils on the basis of their knowledge of health and safety, practical skills of healthy lifestyle and safe behavior, the formation of value relation to the life and health. The distribution of the educational load on Health Basis subject by sections in grades 5–9 is generalized. It is grounded that it is in appropriate to remove Health Basis subject from basic school and integrate these themes into other subjects, which will destroy the integral view of the health and healthy lifestyle of pupils.
