Assessment of impacts from the construction of a breakwater at the intersection of Constitution Avenue and Felix U. Camet. Mar del Plata, Argentina

Abstract
This paper is a case study conducted in the north coast of Mar del Plata. The main reason, which led to their realization was given by the signifcant landscape transformation suffered in that sector, last year. This transformation took place as a result of a work promoted by the local government with the support of the Province and the Nation. The controversy of this intervention it’s based in the methods chosen for its construction and the derivatives effects anticipated by several studies. In this sense, this study proposed to determine if the aims of accomplishment of the above mentioned work justify the possible collateral hurts. To achieve this end there were evaluated and analyzed the positive and negative impacts across the application of analytical methods and feldworks.
