Авторские примечания как фактор художественной целостности (на примере двух произведений Б.К. Зайцева)

Abstract
The paper deals with the peculiarities of the author’s commentary on his works. The author of the article has determined their importance for the integral perception of the text. In particular, it has been shown that the notes have not only informative and explanatory character, but also contribute to the strengthening of such genre factor as time and space correlation in the story. While working under the text about Saint Sergius of Radonezh B.K. Zaitsev applied to different sources and his text is rich in intertextual links (Kiev-Pechersk Patericon, the chronicles, the life of Anthony the Great, the works of Basil the Great, the life of Francis of Assisi and others). The same can be applied to “Athos”. But we will focus not on the intertextual associations and comments of the author, but the notes after the text. There are few notes, for example, “Saint Sergius of Radonezh” contains 19 notes, “Athos” includes 16. According to the content, they may be called informative and clarifying. Their absence would not affect the integrity of the works, but their presence creates a special integrity, greater completeness which confirms their importance, their strong position in the text
