Economic valuation of the benefits and environmental costs for the northern coastal area of Camagüey

Abstract
The aim of this work is to estimate the environmental benefits and costs in the northern coastal area of Camagüey. To accomplish this task the benefit cost ratio is calculated. Therefore, the author identifies stockade number as the largest ecosystem with the biggest interconnection for tourism development in the keys of the northern part of Camagüey, expressing its money and products value together the estimated environmental costs to assess the economic and environmental feasibility of the area with the cost benefit ratio. The estimated and updated economic benefits for the ecosystem represent 39 pesos per dollar of environmental cost.
