FIRST PROJECT OF UKRAINIAN PROGRAM FOR PRESCHOOL ESTABLISHMENTS ABOUT THE USE OF HAND LABOUR IN EDUCATION OF A CHILD UNDER SCHOOL AGE

Abstract
In the article contents and structure of the first project of the Ukrainian program for preschool establishments «Preschool education. Materials to the adviser» are elucidated (1928), attention is accented on the use of hand labour in educational process of preschool. The analysis of this document, which was developed by Ukrainian research workers and practices, showed that in the pedagogical process of preschool establishments hand labour was an important factor which was instrumental in socialization of child, influenced on its scalene development, forming of major lines of personality. The authors of the program made a maiden attempt to unite in one edition materials which would help educators to work out the sharpest problems of preschool education in those days, and labour education in particular. In the project of the program not only types and contents of hand labour, list of various equipment, materials were offered, but also list of necessary things for mastering of labour skills of children under school age in accordance with the age&old features of children. Leaning on achievement of that time science and practices, in contents of a document methodical advices were entered for educators in relation to forming of the proper vitally necessary labour skills. It allowed to use hand labour not only for forming of skills but also to educate important lines of personality: persistence, honesty, industriousness, sense of collectivism and others. Work with different materials was acknowledged as basis of all pedagogical work in educational process of preschool and due to which necessary skills were formed became basis of subsequent labour activity of personality and testified about priority of this direction in education of children under school age. Ideas to use labour, which were elucidated in the first program for preschool had an important value for creation programmatic methodical documents in subsequent periods of development of the national system of preschool education.
