FORMATION OF MILITARY-SPECIAL COMPETENCE OF THE FUTURE MASTER COURSE STUDENTS MAJORING IN MILITARY AND SOCIAL MANAGEMENT

Abstract

The current state of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and realities of the XXI century ascertain that alongside with traditional threats related to local wars and armed conflicts, terrorism in all its forms is a serious threat to humankind, which requires new approaches to the organization of educational process, setting and implementation of educational teaching system that would ensure person’s complete development and his / her successful self-realization in social and military-professional environment. One of the main places in the overall system of social institutions covers the Ukrainian army service which facilitates the creation of measures aimed at mastering military and military-specific knowledge of the moral and psychological support (MSY) of the forces, social experience for the formation of socially positive values. A steady growth of the role of spiritual, moral and psychological component of the functioning of the Armed Forces of Ukraine within modern conditions has been specified; particular importance is seen in training qualified officers – master-course students majoring in military and social management (MSM) - in special military disciplines at higher military educational institutions, the morally psychological state of troops as well as their combat readiness in general being dependent on the officers’ professional activity. The aim of this paper is experimental confirmation of the effectiveness of the purposeful development of the MSM master course students’ military-special competence under the conditions of the implementation of a universal structural and functional technology aimed at presenting the contents of teaching them military special disciplines into the educational process of higher military educational institution (HMEI) The research and experimental verification of the efficiency of the technologies facilitating the development of MSM master course students’ military-special competence proves to be a major step in the study aimed at proving the hypothesis which is concluded in the assumption that professional competence of the MSM master course students increases in case of implementing scientifically sound methodological system of training in military-special disciplines and purposeful development of military special competence based on scientifically grounded universal structural and functional technology. It was stated according to the results of the study that the development level of the military special competence in the control group is lower than in the experimental one. This proves the efficiency of the methodological system which facilitates training military-special disciplines as well as development technologies of the MSM master course students’ military-special competence.
