Journal Title: The Journal of International Social Research - Year 2017, Vol 10, Issue 54

Abstract

The most of individuals employed in global markets see themselves as overqualified. Although attitudes and behaviors of overqualified employees in organizations are extensively searched around the world, the number of research conducted in the country is limited. The main purpose of this research is to reveal the relationship between perceived overqualifications and work engagement and turnover intention. In this context, data were obtained from 67 employees that were sampled in the context of the population constraints. The results showed that there was no statistically significant relationship between work engagement and perceived overqualification, although there was a positive relationship between perceived overqualification and turnover intention.
